Taxonomy and Biosystematics  (Taxon Biosyst.), an official publication of the University of Isfahan, is an open access, online-only, peer-reviewed journal that considers scientific papers in all different subdisciplines of plant and Animal, such as descriptions of taxa, nomenclatural review, classification of taxa, introduction of new methods for data development and analysis, gene ecology, population genetics, genetic diversity, biodiversity and phylogenetic studies.

TBJ publishes original articles derived from original research work and brief reports. From a multidisciplinary perspective, this journal will provide a platform for publication, information and debate, encompassing all areas which fall within the scope of plant science.

Important Announcement

We would like to inform all authors and researchers that, starting from Autumn 2025, all issues of the journal Taxonomy and Biosystematics will be published exclusively in English.

Therefore, authors are kindly requested to prepare and submit their manuscripts only in English. Please note that manuscripts submitted in Persian will not be considered for the review process.
