Guide for Authors
1: When submitting an article, the following files must be sent with the mentioned conditions:
2- The authors' commitment form is prepared in the form of checklist questions in the system. Please read the questions carefully and be careful when completing the form.
3- Submitted articles should not be published in Journals or presented at domestic and foreign conferences, nor should they be sent simultaneously. It is important to note that failure to comply with this requirement will result in consequences for the authors.
4- If referee comments are received, the responsible author should send the revised version of the article along with a cover letter detailing the corrections made in response to each referee's comments.
5- The article can only be submitted through the Taxonomy and Biosystematics publication website at the following electronic address: tbj.ui.ac.ir. If the article code is not received via email within 10 days of submission, please follow up with the journal office.
6- The journal is free to edit the contents of the articles.
7- The article must be a research paper and represent the findings of the author(s)' research work.
8- Articles prepared by master's and doctoral students in collaboration with their supervisors or advisors must be submitted to the journal through their professor's submission folder. Otherwise, they will not be considered for review by the editorial board.
9- If the financial expenses for the research or the preparation of the article are provided by an institution, or if the article is derived from a research project with the financial support of other organizations and institutions, obtain permission from the appropriate institution to publish the results of the project or research. Submit the permission document to the journal office along with the article. It is necessary, and if requested by the institution, include the name of that institution in the footer of the first page.
10- English equivalents for each page, with independent numbering marks for each page, should be provided in the footnotes.
11- The number of references used should be at least 20.
12- In the text of the article, refer to the number of diagrams and tables and indicate their approximate locations. The titles of diagrams, tables, and figures should be provided in both Farsi and English languages within the text of the article.
13- Tables and figures should be submitted with a minimum quality of 300 dpi for direct printing.
14- The received articles will be confidentially evaluated by three experts.
15- The corresponding author is responsible for the scientific and legal validity of the article.
16- Generally, translated articles are not accepted.
17- The maximum number of pages for the article, including tables and figures, should be 20 pages.
18- The journal retains the authority to reject, accept, or edit articles and is not obligated to return the articles once received.
19- Rejected or withdrawn articles will be removed from the journal's archives after three months, and the Taxonomy and Biosystematics journal will not be held responsible in this matter.
20- The author is required to make the corrections requested by the referees within two months at the latest. Otherwise, if the revised article is submitted after this deadline, it will be treated as a new article, and the refereeing process will be initiated again.
21- The author should indicate the corrections made in the text of the article by using the color blue.
22- The author is required to prepare a separate letter addressing the corrections requested by each referee and upload it along with the submitted article.

The articles submitted to this journal must adhere to the writing guide provided below; otherwise, the article will not be reviewed. It is important to follow the tips and instructions outlined below to ensure timely review and publication of the journal when submitting articles.
1- The article should be prepared in Word 2003 software with the following page layout: top margin: 3/5 cm, bottom margin: 3 cm, left margin: 2 cm, and right margin: 2 cm. The selected paper type should be A4. The article should not exceed 20 pages, starting from the second page (including Persian title and abstract) and ending with the references (excluding English abstracts and appendices). The text should be typed with single line spacing.
2- Reference citation: In the article's text, references to published works should be provided in parentheses. Start by mentioning the author/authors' names followed by the year of publication. For example: (Wilson 1975; Flugel 2010; Shabafrooz et al. 2015) or (James and Wynd 1965). If multiple articles by the same author were published in the same year, add letters after the year to differentiate them (e.g., 2015a, 2015b).
When mentioning foreign authors' names, use the Latin alphabet and avoid using their Persian equivalents.
The list of references at the end of the article should be arranged alphabetically. There is no need to include numbering.
3- Graphs:
Figures, graphs, tables, and mathematical relationships should be numbered separately and in sequential order from the beginning to the end.
4- General Structure of the Articles:
Front Page:
Title of the article (concise and descriptive)
Author(s)' name(s) and surname(s) (the corresponding author should be indicated with an asterisk *) along with their academic rank and specialization
Affiliation with the university/institute of employment
Full contact information for the author(s), including postal address, phone number (mobile and landline), fax number, and email address

Author details: Include the first and last name(s) of the author(s), and indicate "Corresponding Author" before the name of the responsible author. Include their academic rank, specialization, university/institute name, place of employment, and email address. Provide this information in English.
From the third page to the end of the article, the main body of the article is numbered in the following order:
Introduction: This section covers the generalities of the subject under discussion, including the statement of the problem, the importance of the subject, and the goals or research questions.
The history of the subject and the background of the research: This section provides the necessary definitions and adequately expresses the achievements of related internal and external research. It supports the hypotheses and the conceptual model examined in the article.

Discussion and analysis of research findings.
5- Results:

Additionally, practical suggestions, recommendations for future research, and limitations of the study are provided. All items should be presented in order and in continuation of each other.
